The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) said on Saturday that its Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) landed on the moon's surface, making it the fifth country to ever achieve this feat.
According to JAXA, SLIM touched down at around 21:20 GST on Friday near the Shioli Crater at the moon’s equator.
